The Alpha course is an opportunity for anyone to explore the Christian faith in a relaxed manner over ten thought-provoking weekly sessions. Alpha is supported by all the major Christian denominations. To find out more about Alpha, see www.alpha.org.
The course will vary depending on the church running it, but this is what you might expect:
Each session consists of a talk, some refreshments and a chance to discuss things in a small group. It's low-key, friendly and fun and there is no cost although you are welcome to make a donation towards refreshments. The course often includes the option of a day or weekend away.
If you would like more information, please contact the church in question. The course is free and there is no obligation to stay the course - come and try out the first session or two and see how it feels.
